THE ACTUAL PROCESS

The Process requires the client to choose the focus of the conversation, while the coach listens, questions, contributes observations, asks for action and enforces commitments.

The Meetings will consist of discussion of your wins from the prior meeting, assessments of what slowed you down, designing of solutions and establishment of your goals moving forward. We’ll try to break past mental barriers. I will point out perspectives you may not have considered. We’ll reverse your patterns of negative self-talk and passivity. You’ll get every bit of advice or insight I can offer.

Action For Change. At the end of each session, you’ll commit to action items that will continue to move you forward. You may do personal exploration activities such as free-form journaling, personal development exercises and career assessments. Coaching sessions are facilitated either by phone or face-to-face. Initially, coaching sessions are most effective if scheduled 3 times per month for 1 hour each. The number of sessions needed will depend on your personal goals and challenges, but most clients are able to start seeing results in one or two sessions.

Accountability Between Sessions. You’ll feel accountable to your coach, which will keep you focused and on track. You can email or call me for quick updates for advice, encouragement and to review exercises and assessments. Clients who stay in touch with their coach between meetings usually have better results, due to both the additional coaching they receive and to the additional focus created by a sense of accountability.

Affordable Pricing. Because I don’t spend much money on marketing or advertising, pricing is typically at or below market rate. I don’t believe that income should separate people from each other or from necessary and helpful services. Because of this, I offer a sliding scale for financial challenges, and creative arrangements such as 30 minute sessions or fewer sessions per month are also available.
